Our Story

Pretty Pure Skincare started in my kitchen out of necessity. My son was struggling with eczema, and store-bought products just weren’t cutting it. I was tired of long ingredient lists I couldn’t pronounce and lotions that didn’t help. 

So I went back. Back to what my grandma’s mama knew. Back to the herbs, the shea butter, the oils our ancestors used long before drugstore aisles existed. I spent months reading over recipes and testing on my own kitchen counter. Some batches flopped, some burned, but I kept going because my son’s skin was worth it. And it worked!

My best friend was my first tester, she pushed me to keep going when I doubted myself. My husband tested every batch too. Then my teenage daughters got involved.

I started whipping up body butters and good-smelling soaps just for them. Let’s just say… they fell in love. Now they won’t stop bugging me when their stash runs low, raiding my work table. That’s when I knew I was onto something.

I believe our skin remembers. It remembers the plants, the earth, the simple things that nourish instead of just coating. That’s what Pretty Pure skincare is, rooted in tradition, made with love, for families like mine.

Thank you for trusting me with your skin. This little dream started with a mama and her son, and you’ve helped it grow into something sacred.
